Cattle production varies greatly across the U.S. and worldwide. The Cattleman's Choice contest allows chapters to engage their students to learn about this diverse production system. The virtual monthly contest allows chapters to think about cattle production by getting in the mind of a commercial cattleman or cattlewoman who is buying bulls for their herd. This contest is designed to allow chapters a monthly educational opportunity to think about bull selection and EPD's. This workshop will describe how current educators are using this contest as a tool to impact students through data analysis, real world scenarios, and decision-making. A practical real-world look into beef cattle production.
