2026 NAAE Convention

This interactive workshop, based on strategies and practices from the DELTA Leadership Conference, will help educators strengthen student engagement by refining their classroom facilitation skills. Participants will explore how intentional communication techniques, including economy of language, clear expectations, purposeful questioning, and effective direction-giving, can increase student ownership, participation, and learning outcomes. Through practical examples, discussion, and application activities, educators will learn how to create student-centered environments where instructions are understood, transitions are efficient, and engagement remains high throughout the learning process.
