Strong partnerships between agricultural education teacher educators and school administrators are essential for preparing highly qualified teachers and supporting successful school-based agricultural education programs. This interactive workshop will explore strategies for establishing, strengthening, and sustaining relationships with principals, district administrators, and career and technical education leaders. Participants will discuss approaches for identifying mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance clinical experiences, facilitate research collaborations, improve recruitment, and strengthen communication between universities and schools. Successful practices for engaging administrators throughout the teacher preparation process and creating partnerships that support both pre-service teacher development and school needs will be discussed.
