Agricultural educators play a critical role in helping students navigate what happens after high school graduation: apprenticeships, technical college, community college, four-year college, career entry, military, and workforce opportunities. Drawing on recent research examining agricultural education participation and postsecondary success in rural communities, this session explores practical strategies for strengthening postsecondary readiness through agricultural education. Participants will examine how agricultural education serves as a bridge between high school and postsecondary pathways. Attendees will leave with actionable ideas for advising students, promoting multiple postsecondary options, building local partnerships, and helping students connect their agricultural education experiences to future educational and career goals.
